Hill at Kaleshwor |
Away from crowded city of Lalitpur, Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is at a peaceful place, at the top of the hill. You have to travel through villages and dense forests to finally reach here. There is a range of hills with dense forests. Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is at the top of one of the hill, from where you can see mountains, hills and Terai. It can be a best destination for a long hike. Or you can easily get to the bottom of the hill on a vehicle and have a short hike through the forest to reach to the top.
You can find some houses at the bottom of the hills but there is no human civilization at the top. You hardly will find anyone on the way once you pass through the last house at the bottom of the hill. Then there is dense forest, some wild animals, some birds and insects. You may find some one on the way if you are lucky, some one who have come for a hike or to worship Lord Shiva. This place is crowded at the time of Jatra at Chapagaun. All most all people celebrating Jatra come here to worship at that day.
Steep trials through a silent and lone forest might look difficult and dangerous but the view from the top will assure that the difficulties to reach here was worth it. I have captured a video from the top. Please have a look.
