Huge Buddha Statue at Shanti Ban

Shanti ban is a peaceful place with a huge statue of Lord Buddha in meditating position. Shanti ban has been a main attraction to local as well as foreign travelers since a large statue of Lord Buddha was built here on 2002 AD. The statue stands 25 feet tall. The golden painted statue is visible from the Godavari highway on your right heading towards Godavari as soon as we cross Kitini. A peaceful environment at a lap of a forest, through a village with beautiful scenery of Kathmandu valley in front of your eyes has been a main attraction. Snow fall at hills of lalitpur 2019

When people of Kathmandu valley were thinking that the summer has arrived with bright sun at the day time, there was a huge snowfall all around Kathmandu valley early this morning.People hardly could believe this at the end of February. Phulchowki covered with snow All the hills surrounding Kathmandu Valley were white covered with snow. It was normal to see snow at the tops of tall hills of Lalitpur like Phulchowki and Lele at the end of winter, but snowfall almost at every hill is hardly seen. Snow at Kot There was a huge snowfall after heavy storm, wind and rain early at the morning at almost every hills of kathmandu valley and places near to them. This has happened after 10 years. Rare Snowfall at Phulchowki Lalitpur

Phulchowki is the tallest hill of Kathmandu valley located at the top of Godavari,Lalitpur.It is at the height of 2782 m. Phulchowki hill is surrounded by the dense forest of different plants,one of the famous plant is of Rhododendron. We can find different coloured Rhododendron here. Rhododendron is Nepal's national flower. It is very cold in the winter and normally at the end of the winter there is a snowfall here. Normally at the start of February, there is snowfall at Phulchowki and other hills of Lalitpur. Here is video  of snow at Chandragiri, Lele, Fulchowki and  Lek. Phulchowki always has been a place to hike. It is a beautiful trial from Godavari through a dense forest to the top of the hill. There is a shrine of Phulchowki mata, an army camp and a tower. Panch Dhara(Godavari Kunda)

Pancha Dara is a famous place at Godavari,Lalitpur,Nepal. It is also famously known as Godavari kunda. Similar to Nau dhara, Panch dhara is also a Nepali name for 5 taps, where "Panch" stands for 5 and "Dhara" stands for "taps".Panch dhara has 5 taps flowing with fresh spring water every time, small temples, and ponds.Old  stone taps designed as dragon heads are very beautiful.Dense forest all around add another beauty to it. Stairs to Kot dada connecting underdeveloped village with developing ones

At the middle of the jungle you can find this beautiful stairs which connects Dadagaun and Kot Dada together.You can find this stairs middle of nowhere when you head towards Kot dada from Lubhu or Lamatar at Dadagaun, Lalitpur. Stairs in between Dadagaun,Lalitpur and Kot dada, Lalitpur This is one of the oldest way to go to Kot dada. People of Kot have used this stairs for ages and still have been using this daily. In the middle of a dense forest, this stair is a beauty.

On the lap of phulchowki lies Nau Dhara

Nau dhara is located at lap of Phulchowki hill which is the tallest hill of kathmandu valley. It can be also said that Nau dhara is the starting point to start trekking to Phulchowki. Nau dhara means 9 taps in Nepali.  Surrounded by trees, you can find 9 tap with waters coming out of it, a pond and temples. Peaceful and silent places in the middle of a dense forest, where you can completely get lost in the nature. It is just some minutes away from a busy road.The pitched road from the bus park to the temple is just beautiful, surrounded by trees. Nau Dhara Temple Nau Dhara is not only famous for the 9 taps. Nau dhara has a temple of a Devi, a Goddess. She is worshiped at the time of Dashain, biggest festival of Hindus. And also marriage ceremonies are held here. Clouds at Kaleshwor Mahadev temple

Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is located at Lalitpur, Nepal. It is located at a beautiful geographical area at the top of a hill with dense forest. You can have a view of range of hills with human civilization at some hills. Most of them are jungles only with trees, wild animals and  birds . Kaleshwor Mahadev is located at a rural Southern Lalitpur

Kaleshwor Mahadev is  a form of Lord Shiva also know as Mahadev. Kaleshwor Mahadev temple is established to worship Lord Shiva. This is one of many Shiva temples found in Nepal. Normally we find temples and monasteries at the top of almost every hills of Nepal. This temple too is located at a beautiful landscape, at the top of a hill of Lalitpur. Plain Picnic spot at top of Bishankhu narayan Temple

Bishankhu Narayan is Located at Lalitpur, Nepal.It is located at south eastern part of kathmandu valley. You can get a bus to Godamchour or take a bus to Godavari and get down at Badegaun from Lagankhel or Sathdobato to reach here. From Badagaun,take a road going South East,2 km of walk you reach Godamchour, then take a left from the football ground. Take a walk of 1 km uphill, with beautiful scene of villages, green field and cities, with hill and mountains above the city on your left and forests on your right. You already start feeling the fresh air here. Take a steep stairways to reach the temple.Located at a beautiful landscape of rock, you will certainly find the location interesting.The top of the temple is even more beautiful. You take a steep way going uphill from the temple or take a small rough road going uphill from the gate of the temple.
