SwethBarahi Temple is at the middle of traditional Newar village Badegaun

SwethBarahi temple is located at badegaun, lalitpur, 6 km away from Sathdobato. Despite being at a the heart of newar village badegaun,full of cultures and only some meters away from Goadavari highway, this temple still is unknown to many people.

SwethBarahi is one of the Barahi temples inside Kathmandu valley. SwethBarahi is a strong and powerful goddess. Many people come here to worship her. Often many marriage ceremonies are performed here. It is a peaceful place just near to an old village.

To go to this temple you need to get on a bus from Lagankhel or Sathdobato heading towards Godavari. After 6 km or almost 20-25 min ride from Sathdobato on the Godavari highway, you reach a place called Badegaun. You can see a police station at your left, then there is a 4 way intersection. Leave the highway and then take the way on your left. Go straight about 200-300 meters ahead, then you reach a place with some tree and a temple, Swethbarahi.

You often see people on picnic or locals with their bhojs. You can sometimes also some across marriage ceremonies and jatras.

It is located at a beautiful place inside a village. You can see a river down below. You can also have a view of nearby villages and hill on the East, fulchowki at you South and of course beautiful village of lalitpur, city of Kathmandu, hill and mountains at North.

Panch Dhara(Godavari Kunda)

Pancha Dara is a famous place at Godavari,Lalitpur,Nepal. It is also famously known as Godavari kunda. Santaneshwor Mahadev

Santaneshwor Mahadev temple located at Jharuwarashi, Lalitpur is a beautiful place to visit. It is believed that if you don't have a child, go worship here and you are blessed with a child. Santaneshwor is a Shiva temple at a top of the hill. It looks very beautiful from the down. Located at the top of a hill made of rocks with some salla tree at the East, You have to take a long steep ladder to reach the top.
