Kot Dada Lalitpur

Despite being a beautiful height Kot dada is still unknown to many outdoor as well as indoor travellers.Kot dada is a famous height located at southern part of Kathmandu valley. From the top of the place you can have a beautiful view of  all three cities of Kathmandu valley i.e. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur which of course will cherish your heart and soul. View of Lalitpur and Kathmandu Kot dada is located at Lalitpur. Once you get to Sathdobato you head straight to Godavari following Godavari highway. After 20 to 30 minutes of local vehicle ride, you reach Hadegaun, Lalitpur,you have to leave Godavari Highway and head towards East. Then you go to Godamchour or you can directly get a bus heading towards Godamchour from Sathdobato or Lagankhel. From Godamchour you go straight uphill, little like forest walk with villages and beautiful view of Kathmandu and Lalitpur  by your left. Lamkunda(Lamo kunda) Godavari

 Lamo kunda also known as lamkunda is located at Godavari, Lalitpur. It is a pond where overflown fresh water from Paanchdhara is collected. Fresh water of kunda is flow from 5 taps located inside the temple and the water is collected in a small pond. Then the overflown water is collected at the down side of the road which is famously known as Lamkunda. The view is more attractive with the fresh water pond and small temples at the side of the pond. Famous Godavari picnic spot just lies above lamkunda.   Lamkunda Godavari    Locals are working on rebuilding it and reconstructing it. As it is also one of the main sources of irrigation for the people living near by. The pond was also absorbed as a boating spot. So it will add more value to the beautiful place, Godavari. 108 Dhara (Sano Muktinath) at Lalitpur

 Muktinath is a famous Bishnu Temple, sacred for both Hindus and Buddhists, located at foot of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang , Nepal . It is famous for the location and also 108 taps where people take a bath as they worship Lord Bishnu. 108 Dhara Among different replicas of Muktinath temple all around Nepal, one of the most famous is located at Godavari, Lalitpur. Muktinath Lalitpur, famously known as Mini Muktinath is located at Dhungashaghu, Godavari. Initiation from the locals changed a small temple at a bank of a river into a famous temple with 108 continuous flowing taps (108 dhara) and now famous as Mini Muktinath. A temple with statue of Muktinath, 108 dhara, statue of mahadev, other deities alongside, a room from Bhajan, picnic spot, manmade old stone saghu and the location itself are some of the major attractions. Huge Buddha Statue at Shanti Ban

Shanti ban is a peaceful place with a huge statue of Lord Buddha in meditating position. Shanti ban has been a main attraction to local as well as foreign travelers since a large statue of Lord Buddha was built here on 2002 AD. The statue stands 25 feet tall. The golden painted statue is visible from the Godavari highway on your right heading towards Godavari as soon as we cross Kitini. A peaceful environment at a lap of a forest, through a village with beautiful scenery of Kathmandu valley in front of your eyes has been a main attraction. Manakamana Temple built at Godavari Lalitpur

The main  Manakamana Temple  is situated in the Gorkha  district of Nepal. It is sacred place of the Hindu Goddess Bhagwati, and believed to be an incarnation of Parvati. Manakamana is a combination of two words "mana" and "kamana". "Mana" meaning heart and "kamana" meaning wish. It is believed that  wishes of all people who visit her shrine and worship her are granted. When people of Kathmandu valley were thinking that the summer has arrived with bright sun at the day time, there was a huge snowfall all around Kathmandu valley early this morning.People hardly could believe this at the end of February. Phulchowki covered with snow All the hills surrounding Kathmandu Valley were white covered with snow. It was normal to see snow at the tops of tall hills of Lalitpur like Phulchowki and Lele at the end of winter, but snowfall almost at every hill is hardly seen. Snow at Kot There was a huge snowfall after heavy storm, wind and rain early at the morning at almost every hills of kathmandu valley and places near to them. This has happened after 10 years. Rare Snowfall at Phulchowki Lalitpur

Phulchowki is the tallest hill of Kathmandu valley located at the top of Godavari,Lalitpur.It is at the height of 2782 m. Phulchowki hill is surrounded by the dense forest of different plants,one of the famous plant is of Rhododendron. We can find different coloured Rhododendron here. Rhododendron is Nepal's national flower. It is very cold in the winter and normally at the end of the winter there is a snowfall here. Normally at the start of February, there is snowfall at Phulchowki and other hills of Lalitpur. Here is video  of snow at Chandragiri, Lele, Fulchowki and  Lek. Phulchowki always has been a place to hike. It is a beautiful trial from Godavari through a dense forest to the top of the hill. There is a shrine of Phulchowki mata, an army camp and a tower. Beautiful; view from the top is mind blowing. Locals often visit to the top of the hill especially on the day of Baishak Purnima.
